This world is nothing but an illusion. One we can change with a different thought.
We walk around in our own worlds judging others for the ones they choose. If it harms me then I must judge wisely. And if it doesn’t affect me then it is not my place to judge.
I love what Meaghan wrote this week, “judging others harshly and sometimes for things they themselves do behind closed doors.”
Sipping Reality has become an outlet for us to be exactly who we are. To share our most vulnerable thoughts and actions in a world so riddled with judgement that we can’t escape. We know we are placing ourselves in a line of judgement fire, but we have chosen it willingly.
We have chosen it for the many who come to us, thanking us for our honesty and openness. For saying and sharing the things that they were too ashamed to share. For allowing them to be comfortable to speak openly with us about things they have kept in dark places in their mind.
Things do not heal in the darkness. We do not heal in the darkness. Mold grows and stains remain in the dark. But in the light, it is all burned away leaving purity and health. Gold is not refined in the dark. It is placed right into the flame of light.
Are you shocked I talk openly about sex? An act you do yourself. Maybe you do it in the darkness of the night and in the quiet of your own bed. But you engage in it still. Your animalistic desires are there and present whether you hide them or let them shine. Are you judging me for shining? And if so, is this truly judgement or your own shame and inability to shine being revealed?
I encourage you to shine. This doesn’t mean being anything you aren’t. But shine within the truth no matter who you are! Share, speak up and be you! Stop hiding from the world because the world is judging you no matter what you do. If you are good and pure the wicked will come for you no matter how honest and open you are. If they have nothing to use to slander your name, they will make things up!
I can go crawl in a hole and be silenced or I can choose to step out into the light and shine in health and beauty and truth and never again let the enemy silence my voice!
And so I speak. I share the things that others don’t dare to speak out loud. I write and speak the things that others read and listen to in darkness.
My voice will not be silenced, and my truth will be heard. My heart will be refined as gold within a flame. And I will carry on.
Until Next Time,
Jill
